What's the Problem?

One-third of the world's population is affected by some form of malnutrition. These figures reflect the difficulties of reconciling the intensity of the modern lifestyle with a balanced diet that considers the changes in nutritional needs throughout life and the deficiencies associated with some restrictive diets. This new awareness led to a dramatic increase in dietary supplement sales in recent years. These products can overcome specific deficiencies, but they are not a long-term solution. Because food is not only nutrients but also a glimpse of the environment. Scientific research shows that many foods, such as breast milk, contain information that reprograms body functioning to better adapt to stressful and changing conditions, leaving persistent epigenetic marks. Innovative approaches are needed to harness the best of nature and achieve a quantum leap in nutrition.

How are they Solving it?

At KRESKO RNATech, we design ingredients based on regulatory RNAs to train body cells to deal with stressful environments and regain balance. To speed up the process, we developed a platform for the discovery, formulation, and production of nutraceutical and cosmeceutical ingredients based on these RNAs. KRESKO combines computational and experimental approaches to identify RNAs from natural sources and replicate them into ingredients. Currently, we have two developments underway, one focused on cosmetic ingredients for skin repair and the other involving supplements for specialized nutrition. This is a gateway to a whole new concept. Our goal is to democratize these technologies for everybody. We are designing supplements for people with different needs and going through different phases in their lives, to help them reach optimum vitality and well-being.
